by Belinda Mooney
This is a perfect craft for a colonial or pioneer study. Or make a rug for your dollhouse.
|
MAKE A BRAIDED RUG
Use old clothes and scrap fabric to make these.
1. Cut strips of cloth approx. 3 inches wide. Sew three strips togethr at one end to start. Braid these together. t helps to anchor yor braid on a chair or something.
2.Keep braiding. As you get to the end of the strips sew on a new one.
3.To make you rug coil one end of the braid into a tight circle. Sew the edges together with strong thread.
4. Keep coiling and adding on toyour strips till you get the size braid you want. When you are all done sew the end down.
MAKE ONE FOR YOUR DOLL AND ONE FOR YOU!
