You can do so many neat projects with rubber stamps! But buying ink pads can be expensive especially when kid's tend to leave the lids off. Now make your own with this easy recipe.

Here is how we make our own ink. We have made some really cool colors this way!And my kids love doing it. :

materials:

powdered clothes dye any color

1/4 tsp alcohol

5 TBS glycerin ( available in pharmacies

Mix dye with alcohol till it is slightly thick but not real thick then add the glycerin. Stir well to blend.

You can then pour this ink over a stamp pad or make a fine grained stamp pad by putting foam rubber in the bottom of a small box. Brush ink over this.Makes enough ink to replenish a stamp pad several times.
