Crystals You can Eat</>
by Belinda Mooney
This fun project combines science with art. Crystals are beautiful to look at and study. Now you can grow your own, draw them and then eat them!

Welcome to the world of art for children. Children can create the most wonderful things given just a some odds and ends, scissors, glue and glitter! My goal is to bring simple yet creative crafts that children can make. I hope also to explore the world of art through not only crafts but painting, sculpture, needlework and more. Join me and my children won't you?

Grow Edible Crystals
by Belinda Mooney

Put:

1 c. sugar

1/2 c water

in a small saucepan. Stir over low heat until sugar dissolves. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. When it starts to boil stop stirring and let boil 1 minute. Put either a popsicle stick in a glass or tie a string to the middle of one and lay the stick across the top of the glass. Letting the string dangle to the bottom of the glass.

Slowly pour the syrup into the glass. You might want to run hot water over the glass first or use something plastic.
