Toilet Paper Tube Bird Feeder

A fun recycle craft that benefits our feathered friends. Birds will love you when you make this cute bird feeder.
This is also a great craft for boy scouts, brownies and 4-H clubs to do together as a group activity. it makes the perfect camp nature craft as well.

 

 


What You Need:

  • Cardboard toilet paper roll
  • Wax paper or newspaper (about 8 inches by 8 inches at least)
  • Honey
  • Plastic or regular knife
  • 2 foot piece of yarn
  • Paper plate
  • Bird seed (small seeds work best, sunflower seeds fall off).

What You Do :

Put the yarn through the hole in the toilet paper roll and lay out on a piece of wax paper or newspaper. Spread the honey all around the outside of the roll. Put bird seed on a paper plate. Roll toilet paper roll in bird seed. Tie a knot in the yarn, and hang on a tree
